I just found something interesting to say about all this XNA stuff. :sun_bespectacled: Theres a thread for those who want to try their best or worst making a working game for xbox360 or even just making game content work for their own use. - you can look it up under 'Visual RPG Studio' I think, ...its like my memory fades when asked to verify the obvious....something like that, give or take. The pakage comes with all the tools and software for XNA Studio to operate on either Vista or Win 7 Pro + environments (64bit only). It has a prepatched Compiler for C++,and Framework 4.0 and the latest Microsoft NET updates/utilities + extended DirectX content that you'll need If you are serious, you should also get MS Visual C++ 2008. Dont get Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate. Its an ultimate waste for you if you are game modding or just building content including maps, objects etc. really! what else do you want to have to learn that will sort of just make the environment less freindly for you. You dont need any online access to load the software though your MSbrowser is going to ask to verify data here and thare. Just tell it you dont require a link as its all clean and there is no need to waste time waiting for a verification that doesnt exist. Note: You will wait forever and have to start again if you are the sort of person that allows your computer to automate every action. I've had absolutely no problems with this package for the last 2 weeks to date, and I've been to MS website to get additional content including I recommend - DL of JP and KOR language packs. There is extra content DL in MS but it is not required for verification in the program setup. I declined the upgrade on install and got it later without any problem. You make your own decision on the way you install the package. However - You have to setup the framework first before installing the studio last. There is no ID or password for the later - its been removed permanently (kindness from within tells you that no PW no problem). The DL has only been up for 3 weeks and I dont know how long it'll be around - most likely a week or so at the most before moving on to a new location. It is the only DL i know of that will give you a real full working XNA Game Studio (current release) for free instead of you signing up with a distributor or handing over $99.00 to MS who dont give a rats **** about who you are or whether you have programming ability. I'm posting this particularly for those glossy so called web resellers and cookie crankers who dont really support your inner desire to LEARN. Thats why all the extra mod content has been added for you simply to make life easier. No shopping around for other needs. And yes its completely FREE with no BS cookies and traps or viral diseased files, because the world of internet can make anything available at no extra cost if one just tries hard enough to avoid the mainstream. :crazy_pilot:
