Introducing the First End User Friendly Release of XBMC for Android – Must Have!

We’re very pleased to announce that after months of hard work we’ve finally reached a point where we are able to release a version of XBMC for Android that should be fully functional on pretty much any Android device. It’s packed with tons of cool features that make XBMC much more than just a media centre, but a media platform, bringing the complete online streaming experience to an easy to navigate system on your Android mobile phone, tablet or set top box.
Many improvements have been made to the XBMC software in order to make this release possible. Since XBMC still doesn’t provide support for hardware accelerated video decoding on most devices, we’ve customized this version in order to use an external video player in order to provide the full hardware accelerated video decoding that you’ll need in order to truly enjoy XBMC enough to consider it your main go-to for all your entertainment needs.
Many people have been hearing about XBMC across the web, but have simply dismissed it since they don’t see the need for another media player. XBMC is much more than just a simple media player, one of its main functions is the ability to interface with online streaming video web sites through the use of third party addons, we’ve also included some of the most popular addons built directly into the release.

INTRODUCING THE FIRST END USER FRIENDLY RELEASE OF XBMC FOR ANDROID – MUST HAVE!
Step 1: Install the “MX Player” application to your Android device. You can do this through the Google Play store, or simply by navigating to this page on your device’s web browser and then clicking on the appropriate download link below:Step 2: Launch and exit the “MX Player” application on your device at least once before continuing.
Step 3: Download and install the “XAF Custom Build of XBMC” to your Android device. You can do this by navigating to this page on your device’s web browser and then clicking on the appropriate download link below:NOTE: Should you encounter any errors at this point, make sure to Enable “Unknown sources” under “Security -> DEVICE ADMINISTRATION” within your device’s “Settings” panel.
Step 4: Once it’s done installing, launch the “XBMC” application on your device for the first time, wait a few seconds before you begin using it, then jump right in!
Congratulations! You should now be running XBMC like a champ. It might seem a little bit complex the first time, but all good things seem that way. Just play around with it and without question you’ll become addicted, which isn’t a bad thing in this case! Special Thanks goes out to kemonine96, staticaDK, and the XBMC Foundation for all their hard work and dedication.
