I got a 37" wall mounted to my studs in my dry wall.

I am trying to see if there is a new updated wall mount that would fit a 55" with the same holes that are currently being already used?

Here are some pictures I took of my current 37" current setup:

Most will work together. But you best bet is to get the same brand mount as ur 37, but with ur 55 I would make sure the mount is centered better then ur pics

Any mount will work. Just make sure it has strength to hold a 55. I myself dont like tilt tv mount, unless you are putting it up really high.

What don't you like about tilt mounts? Have they been known to collapse?

No they don't collapse as far as i know, They just put the tv in a forward tilt, which gives it a weird watching angle unless u have it up way high.

Ah I see what you mean. So none of the tilts you can push in to be flat and even?

To be safe I would just patch the old holes and start over. Just make sure your mounts are secure and you are good, if you have brick walls you don't have much to worry about. On the other hand I don't trust drywall, just make sure to take the weight difference into consideration!

Yeah they have swivel tilted tv mounts that make it tilt forward, flat or upward. They also have mounts that the tv can swivel on a swing arm.
It all depends on what you want. Just make sure its secure on a stud, it would be a very sad moment if your tv fell.
