I have a banned retail console (Rode the Halo 4 wave) with an xk3y, and I want to play Black Ops 2 with others. I'm currently on Windows 8, and have successfully installed XBSlink and WinPcap. I have bridged my connection, and have the ports forwarded. I have added the exceptions for XBSlink and WinPcap in both Windows Firewall, and in AVG. I am running both in compatibility for Windows 7 and as admin. I am still getting an error though: "17:33:16 : starting Engine 17:33:16 : @ UPnP device discovery started 17:33:22 : * udp listener dispatcher thread starting... 17:33:22 : * udp outgoing dispatcher thread starting... 17:33:22 : !! Socket Exception: could not bind to port 31415 17:33:22 : !! the UDP socket is not ready to send or receive packets. Please check if another application is running on this port. " Can anyone please be of assistance, as I'm at a standstill...
Not sure if it will work on Windows 8... maybe compatibility mode with running as admin will help?.... Just a thought
Forgot to add, I am running both in compatibility for Windows 7 and as admin. Thanks for the suggestion though.
17:33:22 : !! Socket Exception: could not bind to port 31415 check if that port is forwarded How did u install winpcap in windows 8?
If you set the installer to run in compatibility for Windows 7 and as admin, and change it to those settings for all users, it'll let you install it successfully. Ports are forwarded:
Bump: New error, I realized I was connected to my 5ghz band, which isn't supported by the 360, so I connected to my 2.4mhz band, and bridged the connections.
