Hello I have just got a quick question about verifying games and playing them offline. Does anybody know if I downloaded a game, then ran it through ABGX and it all gets verified 100% I then burn it like normal with iHas, and then play the game OFFLINE... if that could cause the game to give "disc unreadable" errors? you know the error where it says clean the disc etc Ive just tried Resident Evil 6, after verifying it, I burned it and played... but about 2 or 3 mins into the opening cut scene I get the disc unreadable error... and then I tried to install it, and it did some and I got the same unreadable error. So I was just wondering... if you verify a game but dont play it online... can that cause problems? Thank you
If you tried to install and it failed then it's a bad burn mate, usually if it installs fine then it's the laser
I get this a lot, definitely a bad burn mate. Also just spent about 5 mins working out how to spell 'definitely'
should be a bad burn, If it says it after your second burn it can be your laser on your xbox and may need pot tweaking the laser to stop getting unreadable error.
hmmm so can could a second burn work over a 1st burn that didnt if the settings are exactly the same? loll I am burning at 2.4 and using Verbatim discs. All other games work fine.... I am burning the game again right now And these are the discs I am using: http://www.ebay.co.u...984.m1497.l2649 A photo ive just taken:
just burned an UNVERIFIED copy... at the same point as the verified copy, when installing i get the "cant read the disc" grrrr... any ideas?
Unfortunately this happens every now and then with burned discs. Burned discs, as opposed to pressed discs, force the laser to work harder and eventually it can become unreliable. Not saying that your laser is no good anymore but it could have become less tolerant to the minute flaws in your discs. Also you could burn 10 discs consecutively on same setting and get different results so it could very well just be chalked up to bad burns. A few things to try from my experience are double check that you are using verbatims made in Singapore, as the batches that came from India were mostly trash. I believe the Singapore one read a media ID of MKM-003 or something close to that. Also try burning at a slighter higher speed and check results. I know we have been told since the old days that the slowest setting produces the deeper burn but actually some discs are rated to produce optimal results at different speeds with different drives. Good luck troubleshooting and post back.
I have: iHAS 524-B C4EVA XGD3 Ready - preflashed BURNERMAX and the discs I use is: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/170676382871?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649 write speed is 2.4 is there any other settings I should change? its COMPLEX release of resident evil 6. In image burn options I should leave LAYER BREAK to calculate optimal, right? cheers
Try writing at 4x speed and see if that helps as they are verbs it might help with the burn. If all else fails buy a x360key
Yes leave it set to calculate optimal but make sure that your .dvd file has the layer break set to 2133520 (for XGD3)
Ive just done another burn at 2.4 tried to install... this time it only went to 3% and i was trying a different batch of DVDs same make though so now I am redownloading the game to make sure I downloaded the full game, also in image burn I am going to click on VERIFY
i will try X4, ive just burned Forza Horizon at 2.4 and that installed fine... Im starting to think its the actual copy of resi evil 6 i have lol
