Introduction to This Method, and the Differences to Them

    GOD Packages
GOD packages (or Games on Demand) are very common for the users that don't use FSD on their JTAG/RGH consoles. There are a few ups, and downs of running GOD style games.

Pros: All files are broken into separate containers, that are stored under the game's title ID. So, you can delete games from the official Microsoft dashboard's storage manager. The biggest advantage of GOD style games are that you can launch them from the official Microsoft dash under the Game's Library. This is useful for the people that enjoy the "stock" look of the official dash.

Cons: Loading is a bit slower, and sometimes the game freezes a bit. Another disadvantage of GOD style games are they are very disorganized in FSD, if you install them in the "0000000000000000" folder on the HDD. They will show up under XBLA games, if you have your XBLA games installed in their default locations. These also run even slower and more buggy on an external HDD.

    Extracted ISO
This is the method that's most common. Even i use it. It's easiest fastest, and most reliable. PLUS, It's a TON easier to modify games, and run trainers for them.

Pros: Faster, and a LOT more reliable. Easiest for game modifications. This is also best for external USB drives.

Cons: A lot of files. It would be common sense to have them all in one folder though. Such as, Games>Forza 4>Extracted files and folders. This isn't really a con though. Couldn't think of any... Except if you have a smaller HDD and you delete games when you're done with them. Then you'd have to make an HDD defrag a regular thing to do on basis for a much faster, and less buggy game experience.

    Needed Programs:

    GOD 2 ISO
360 MP (or any other ISO extracting software. Such as, Exiso, Xbox Image Browser, etc.)

Creating An ISO From A GOD Container

    1. Open up GOD 2 ISO and select your GOD container's identification file. It's the file that is outside of the game container's folder. It should be like this, Title ID of game>00007000>The small 44kb file. I included an example picture below. The highlighted file is the one you want to open in GOD 2 ISO.

    2. Select "Fix "CreateISOGood" broken header." This step is crucial. If you fail to select this option, you will get the error "Unable to obtain game info," "Not a valid Xbox 360 image," or "Header does not match Xbox 360 Images" errors when ever you load your newly built ISO into an extraction program.

    3. Select the output for your newly created ISO to be saved.

    4. Press "Go" and be patient.

    5. You can tell when the program is finished when the "Go" button and other buttons are lit up again and both green status bars are all the way to the right. This program doesn't notify you upon completion for some rather odd reason.

Extracting the Newly Created ISO File

    1. Open up 360MP and make sure you're in the "Extract ISO" tab on the top left. It's highlighted in the picture below. Once you're in the "Extract ISO" tab, press "Select ISO."

    2. The two options highlighted below are optional. I'd always recommend selecting "Skip "$SytemUpdate" folder?" The second option "Create Game-Folder," will create a game folder using the name provided from the .xex. Enabling or disabling this option is up to you. You can edit the game folder's name with the box below labeled "Edit Game-Folder:"

    3. Select your output folder by selecting "Select Folder..."

    4. Press "Extract ISO." Then give the program a few minutes. You will then be notified upon completion.

    5. FTP your newly extracted game to your RGH/JTAG console. Enjoy!

Nice tut stanton, i had a few issues extracting forza because i was using outdated software - wx360, i didnt even think to use 360MP, ended up using Xbox 360 Iso Extract v0.6, worked a charm but will be doing the next one with 360MP, looks like it has way more options and customizations :D

I had an issue with it a while back. With the "broken header" error using Xbox Image Browser. So, i remembered that it wasn't too easy with dated software and i made this tut. It seems that dated software is the biggest issue these days. The newest of programs' links are always dead, or hard to get a hold of.

Ah man, 360MP is sweet. It's my AIO tool that i use for everything. It just works great! I just wish there were a progress bar...

Glad you learned something Sidey. It's always a pleasure to teach an old dog new tricks. :lulz:

Thanks! I gotta fill this section up before my Gold runs out.

Are you POSITIVE you are selecting the small 44kb file that is BEFORE the data containers' folder?

That's odd. It may just be one of them GOD containers that are douches, or it was created awhile back, and that format isn't supported with GOD2ISO anymore. You never know...

That's what we're doing here.

Do you mean, is there a way to download an ISO and extract the files to dump to your JTAG? Yes. Just load the downloaded ISO into 360 MP and extract the files like you did in this tutorial. Just no need of GOD2ISO.

That's what JTAG rips are my man. Rips are nothing but the files in the ISO. ;)
