Hi, I have posted this tutorial today because I had this problem a few days ago but I got it to work so I thought I'd make a tutorial for others with this problem Programs You Will Need: FTP (File Transfer Protocol) (FileZilla, CuteFTP) XeBuild: http://www.mediafire...jpm36sh968rr9bu xbins: http://www.mediafire...y68i2zwm23vvn7q Most of these programs are here: http://www.mediafire.../#a92q5aiy268ob XeX Menu: It is in the xbins, Look for another tutorial by someone else on How to put XeX Menu Onto your JTAG/RGH Open xbins when its opened go to /XBOX360/dashboards/ And the stuff you need should be there 1. Take your Xbox Faceplate Off, 2. Locate the Eject Button Use a pen or paperclip to press the button (You may need to open up your JTAG/RGH) Google how to open your JTAG/RGH 3. Your JTAG/RGH should boot up and show your CPU Key (Type or Write it down) 4. Dump your NAND Using Flash360, Load the Flash360.xex and when it loads up Press A to dump your ENTIRE NAND to your Flash360 File, Then FTP it and locate the Flash360 Folder and Look for a file called Flashdmp.bin, Drag and Drop To Your File You Want The Dump To Be, 5. Open xeBuild GUI and in Paths set the source file as the Flashdmp.bin 6. Set the Output Path to wherever you want the New dmp to be saved 7. Then Enter your CPUKey into the CPUKeys area, 8. Set the Kernel Version to whichever one you want I recommend 2.0.15574.0 (Latest Kernel) 9. Click Generate Hacked Image, Then Open your JTAG/RGH on FTP (FilleZilla, CuteFTP,) 10. Locate your Flash360 Folder and Drag and Drop updflash.bin to the Folder using FTP, 11. Then Delete Your Flashdmp.bin Because You Have Your updflash.bin, (Well Delete it if you want to, you don't have to) 12. Go to XeX Menu and Locate the Flash360 Folder again then Run Flash360.xex again, Button A (write updflash.bin to Nand) Button B (Raw Flash without keeping current kv/config). ignore the warnings ("WARNING: Keyvault encrypted data check mismatch" and "WARNING: Your current nand is not the ZeroPaired."). 13. When you are on Flash360, Press A to write updflash.bin to NAND, 14. Reboot Your JTAG/RGH, 14. Then your Done! If this is wrong then please comment but if this has helped you then Please Thank and +Rep Please Cheers, XPGTomo
Lets see: Why would you do step 1 & 2. You just hit eject no need to take faceplate off. Step 4 Dump your and then ftp it ? how do they dump there nand? with what tool? what app? what program? step 5-9 need more detail step 11 is unnecessary you may want to keep your flashdmp.bin to fix there mess up by following this tut step 12 NO where does it say how to actually flash your nand??????????????? Did you just copy paste this tutorial too?
This tutorial is for JTAG/RGH's without Disk Drives like mine and NO I DIDNT COPY AND PASTE THESE ARE MY IMAGES AND I TYPED THIS UP! I forgot to include the xeBuild Link, I'm gonna edit it, Also I Don't Care About The Detail it's simple and straight forward,
Details is what really helps users. if not you will get alot of bad flashes and pissed off people. And rename it to something like How to Update Your NAND on Your JTAG/RGH without a dvd drive I am not trying to bash you just give you some ideas on how to make it proper. You are on the right path it jut needs to be fine tuned a lil bit. Keep up the good work. What i do is try to imagine you are a NOOB reading the tutorial when making a tutorial and answer all there questions before they even ask. That is the importance of details. That way you get Thanks +rep, and not a bunch of How do you do this? Where do you get this? Oh it messed up how do i fix this?
Nice!!!! I would add this to step 13 Button A (write updflash.bin to Nand) Button B (Raw Flash without keeping current kv/config). ignore the warnings ("WARNING: Keyvault encrypted data check mismatch" and "WARNING: Your current nand is not the ZeroPaired."). Also add to unplug power from xbox for 15-30 seconds after writing to nand.
Clean work man. I have one suggestion. Using J-Runner instead of XeBuild as it's a little more newb friendly and doesn't allow mistakes. Again, great work there! Also, i uploaded Xbins in the downloads section.
You need to run the official update for the kernel you just put on there. If it's 15574, run the 15574 official update. That will fix Kinect, and avatar issues. Edit: I forgot to mention, run the update off a USB, not LIVE.
