I have posted my world in the Minecraft section and in the Xbox 360 save sections. My question is this. I have looked at other worlds and they have a ton more buildings and supplies than I do, but their game save is only like 14 Mb tops. My save is currently in the 85-87 Mb range. And it seems that if I try to build new structures, it corrupts the world and it freezes. This is even more evident if the structure is a redstone construct. I have built a lighthouse three times now. The first time it froze as soon as I activated the device. the last 2 times I get it finished and when I finish I save and everything is going fine until I exit out. If I try to come back in it freezes on start-up. I have to revert to the last good save I have on file which is pre-lighthouse. So, 1: Any ideas on how I get my save smaller? and 2: What could be causing the freezing when making redstone constructs??? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
the game freezes because (im guessing your lighthouse is a revolving one with pistons) you have to much moving on one screen, i had a revolving lighthouse built a week ago, and it lagged me and my save is in the 16mb area, turn off the lighthouse and you will be fine. to make your save smaller i guess you can delete peoples inventorys so they no longer show up, to do this just put 0 quantity on each of there items (save often whil you are doing it as it doesnt save if alot of 0's are done)
I did after the third time, left it out altogether. But I know there are other lighthouses in operation. It still crashed once after removing the lighthouse though.
