As the title says, I was watching my friends screen through team viewer, his 360rev updated to newer version just now and the minecraft invent is taking half hour to load up. I said "no it should take no more than 30 seconds like this" i switched sides and mine updated and took forever too. So it is nothing I am doing it is XPG. Stop making updates to the tool unless you're going to crush the bug that causes that. I had to completely reinstall my laptop the other day just to speed up the process again. It worked 'for some reason' but now since the next update causes it to take years to open again. If it doesn't happen with most of you, you must not have Vista or have not loaded up 360Rev for the minecraft mod today. It is a bug XPG need to resolve around Vista consoles. Please either stop updating 360rev or crush that bug with every single update from XPG. Source: Two different vista laptops, two different households.
Maybe you could post your free minecraft mod tool that you have made for us all to use (please include about 100+ other save editors)
Mine loads up fast, it was probably because you were running teamviewer at the same time and that takes up a lot of RAM
the bigger the save tho the longer it takes to load so if you both have huge saves it could take a while
I'm on Vista (64bit) and I've modified five (5.) different saves today, after 360rev updated itself, and it took <30 seconds to load up the inventory for every save in 360rev as well as normal loading times on Minecraft.
It always surprises me how rude some people are, they really don't understand how much effort the 360rev dev team put in. I'll try and test my save on 64bit windows 7 later but its always worked fine for me. But from the sounds if it, id put a bet on his save file being huge so it takes a while to load.
Maybe you could not take things out of context? I know it's easy to be arrogant when all of your stuff works and you don't experience these problems but there is no need to be a jerk about it. I agree with the original TC, if a tool works then there should be no need to update unless there is a new feature. I'd assume they updated because of the new 1.7.3 title update but most of the stuff was already in the editor to begin with. I doubt that, my computer has 8GIG of DDR3 RAM along with an i5 3.0GHz processor. I've encountered all kinds of problems with the latest version. Some of my saves don't load at all, some do but take a while. Where as others load up fine but don't save and end up corrupting the inventory. It's something to do with both the User and the Program, something is conflicting that's been updated in the new release.
I am sorry if you thought I was been arrogant when in fact I was been sarcastic! When a user posts something as critical at the OP without any real means of helping anyone fix anything IE an error report and the sad fact that 95% of minecraft problems are user based modding duped items/adding items that dont exist/not reading the modding topic etc To me the whole post sounded ungrateful and demanding in context without any strength of evidence to backup what has been said, contrary as others have posted there seems to be no problem with anyone elses 360rev or minecraft save, so that says to me user error. The whole reason 360rev needs to update is so more save editors can be added and bug fixes worked out. If you do have an issue with 360rev please create a support topic and we will help /closed
nothing was updated n the minecraft editor... sometimes save are just shitty, when you compress 8 pounds of Fecal Leaking into a 5 pound bag, sometimes the bag just breaks
