This text tutorial is a simple way to get your new world up and going for newbies. All credits go to: nnn on XPG Step 1. Select the name of your new world and begin. Step 2. Think about what you want your world to look like in the future. Step 3. Begin collecting as much wood from trees to begin on the construction. Step 4. Select the "X" button and change all of the wood to wooden planks. Step 5. Make a crafting table. (You do this by selecting "X" and scrolling over to the dark brown box on the first list) Step 6. Decide where you want to build your house and sit the crafting table close to it. Step 7. Open your crafting table and click "RB" until you reach the "Tools" section. Start off by making a wood pickaxe, shovel, an axe, and a sword for protection. Step 8. Dig a 2x2x4 area which is 2 long, 2 wide, and 4 deep. There you should reach cobblestone, if not dig out all 4 squares until you reach it. Step 9. Collect as much as possible, then make a staircase to get out. Step 10. Start by building a basic floor, walls, and roof of your house. (You can advance it later) Step 11. I would recommend a 10x10x5 which is 10 long, 10 wide, and 5 up. Step 12. To make your roof, on the 5 row of blocks, on top of that, put one on each corner, then make a staircase going up until you reach the middle, then make a staircase going down. On the othe end of your house, simply connect each sides and it will make your roof. Step 13. Go to the front of your house and mine out of the wall, the 5th block, that will be your door. Go into your crafting table and make a wooden door, it is on the end of the first row of stuff and place it in the location. (Press "LT" to open and close it) Step 14. Next go and find some sheep and collect their wool. (You need three peices of any type of wool) Step 15. If you still have some wood then don't bother getting any at the moment, but get some if you need it and turn them into wooden planks. Step 16. Go into your crafting table and look through the menus until you see a red bed and then craft it. Step 17. Place your bed in your desired area. Step 18. Next, you need 8 peices of cobblestone to make a furnace. (Then, make a furnace by going into your crafting table and selecting the Steel block that has a burner on top and bottom on the front of it on the first menu.) Step 19. Place your furnace in your desired area. Step 20. Go out and collect, 10 peices of wood, a handfull of pig porkchops(to eat when you need them) and 8 peices of sand. Step 21. With the wood, put it in the "Fuel" location in the furnace and put the sand in the "Ingrediant" location. (This will "Smelt" the sand and turn it into glass) Step 22. Mine out a 2x2 square on each side of the door and place the glass. Step 23. Go back into your crafting table and make 2 "Chests." (Find it by scrolling through your menu) Step 24. Place your chest in your desired location and press "LT" to open and close it. Move the porkchops and anything else that you don't need at the moment into the chest. Step 25. Repeat and then eventually advance to a second level, or more things to put on your world.
